Gary Price, First Tenor |
Handling the part of First Tenor is Gary Price, from Massillon, Ohio. Gary was blessed to have grown up in a Christian family. He was saved September 12, 1971 at the age of seven. Gary’s parents were dedicated to making sure their children were surrounded by the word of God and attended church without fail. This faithful Christian upbringing laid the foundation for Gary’s own family and instilled the importance of faith and service to Christ in his life. Gary has had the honor and privilege of leading all three of his own children to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. His family works to maintain a Christ first mentality in their own personal and family life and encourage their children to be involved in their local church in service for Christ. Gary and his wife, Shari, both believe strongly in using their talents and abilities in service for the Lord. Gary believes in a Christ first mentality and strives to trust the Lord for provision and understanding in all things. “I use Phil 4:19 as a guiding principle”, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” All talents and gifts are given by God to be used for his service. “We are commanded in Psalms 98: 4-5 to,” “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.” “I am committed to using my God given talent for the glory of Christ to the best of my ability. I know that Christ is glorified and honored when Christians bring their talents together to further the gospel.” |

Eric Jolly sings Lead for Mercy River Quartet. Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Eric grew up attending “the little white church on a hill”. Music and harmony was always an integral part of his life, from all day singings with dinner on the ground to singing with his brothers and sisters in the back of the station wagon on their way to church. At 17, Eric stepped into the First Tenor position for The Master’s Quartet. Over the next few years Eric was blessed with the opportunity to sing with such groups as The Songsters Quartet, The Right Direction and GloryWay Quartet. Eric is thrilled with the opportunity to sing Lead and minister with Mercy River Quartet following the Lord’s leading on the amazing journey He has in store for the group. |

Chris Mulpas, Baritone |
Filling the Baritone spot for Mercy River is Chris Mulpas from Dover, Ohio. Chris grew up in a great Christian family that taught him the love of Jesus and the love of southern gospel music. His father, who has preached all of Chris’ life, traveled himself with The Landmark Quartet. This heritage of faith and music has been an extremely important part of Chris’ life. Chris has loved Jesus and been a part of His church from an early age, and the decision to follow Christ came just before his tenth birthday while at church camp. Chris shares, “I always knew who Jesus was, but it was at that point that I knew I needed Jesus to save me from my sin.” “The road has not always been easy, but I am so glad that I have a loving Savior to help me along the way!” The Lord continues to bless Chris’ life. In 1998, he married his college sweetheart, Amy. “She has always supported my ministry,” Chris said. “Amy sees the big picture of Kingdom work, and she has made sure that we are a part of it.” In 2008, Chris and Amy welcomed Carson into their family. His infectious joy brings a smile to all! The goal of Chris’ life is to glorify the Lord in everything that He does. Chris shares, “Psalm 103:1 says, ‘Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.’ In everything that we do, we must praise the Lord. I pray that in all areas of my life and ministry, God will be blessed. I am so excited to be part of the ministry of Mercy River, praising the Lord in song!” |

Jeff lives in Massillon, Ohio with his wife Rona, daughter Lauren and their dog Max. Jeff sings Bass and handles the emcee work for Mercy River. Saved at the age of 12, Jeff to learned to sing bass in church standing next to his father. “My dad could sing all four parts, we’d start off singing bass together, then he’d jump up to tenor, I’d follow him but he always told me to stay down on bass.” Jeff learned to love Southern Gospel quartet music listening to tapes of the Inspirations. At the age of 14 Jeff went to see the Inspirations in concert with the Happy Goodman Family, that was it, Jeff was hooked. Some months later Jeff began singing with The Soulseekers, from Akron, Ohio. Jeff was the founder and Bass singer for The Master’s Quartet and has had the privilege to minister in services with Gold City, The Inspirations and The Freemans. In addition Jeff has sung with the Songsters and GloryWay Quartet. After being out of gospel music for several years Jeff began feeling God’s call on his life once again to return to gospel music and ministering through song, Jeff began praying and seeking God’s direction and through those prayers and searching, Mercy River Quartet was born. “It’s an honor to sing with these guys. God has truly blessed in bringing this group together, by connecting four guys that have the same heart for ministry and love for souls. I don’t know where God is going to lead us or what He has in store for us, but I know that the four of us are willing to follow His direction, wherever it may be.” |
